About Techno Train SF
The Techno Train SF is a first-of-its-kind cultural mobility experience that transforms public transit into a curated nightlife corridor connecting the East Bay to Oakland and Berkeley’s music districts.
Produced in collaboration with SFSBC, Playland Project, local businesses, and public-sector partners, the initiative is designed to increase ridership, support independent venues, and promote safe, multi-modal transportation access to arts and entertainment.
The concept is simple but strategic:
Activate a dedicated inbound BART corridor
Curate riders through RSVP-based access
Connect directly to participating venues
Unlock exclusive “Secret” menus and experiences
Reinforce safety, compliance, and economic impact
The Techno Train SF is not a party on rails. It is a mobility-forward cultural activation — aligning transit, nightlife, and civic infrastructure into one coordinated experience.
Core pillars:
Art — Local creatives and venue programming
Music — Techno and electronic culture anchored by independent venues
Mobility — Public transit, bike, scooter, and walkable corridors
Safety — Coordinated law enforcement, fire, and other government agencies.
Economic Activation — Direct spend into small businesses
Launching in 2026, the Techno Train SF pilot will run from Walnut Creek through Oakland and into Berkeley, linking riders to curated nightlife clusters while demonstrating how public transit can serve as the backbone of a modern economy.
Future collaborations will expand Techno Train SF into San Francisco, strengthen Alameda connections, and extend south via Caltrain from San Jose into San Francisco and the East Bay — enhancing regional mobility while delivering safe, curated hospitality-driven experiences.
We are also exploring production concepts on the water (Bay Ferry) and in the sky (eVTOL), building toward a multi-modal techno transportation platform. More details forthcoming.
The long-term vision is to unify Bay Area communities through coordinated transportation corridors that support local business districts, increase transit ridership, and provide structured, responsible access to nightlife and arts programming.
This is infrastructure as experience.
Transit as destination.
Mobility as community.
